PUMPERS
City Pumpers
Maneuverability on congested, tight streets. Strong, secure cab to get personnel to the fire safely. Low hose bed. Organized, well-thought-out storage for firefighting equipment. You need all this and more on your new engine. With a high volume of demanding fire calls, the pumper is the lifeline of the fire department. The City Pumper from FF1 meets these needs and more.
While a typical City Pumper has a 188” wheelbase and 30’-32’ overall length, this truck can be designed as short as 28’ with a 169” wheelbase. You pick what’s best for your response area. Choose from a side or top mount pump panel. Water tanks are available in an L-shape for extra-low hose beds. The body is available in 96” or 102” width, with compartments as deep as 28”.
Like all Ferrara trucks from FF1, the construction is Heavy Duty. The Inferno, Igniter, and Cinder come standard with a 3/16” aluminum cab and body with the extruded aluminum subframe. If 12 gauge stainless steel is your preference, the Ultra cab may work for you.
Rescue Pumper
Convert the officer’s side of the body into full height compartments and you have the FF1 Rescue Pumper. Optional upper body compartments are available for even more storage.
Choose from a side, top or rear mount pump panel. Water tanks are available in an L-shape for extra low hose bed. The 96” wide body has 12” deep upper/25” deep lower compartments and the 102” wide version changes those depths to 15” upper/28” lower. Or go full height/full depth on all compartments for even greater storage.
With split depth compartments, you can maintain a 188” wheelbase and have enclosed ladder storage, either between the tank and high side or through the tank. Ferrara’s Ladders-Thru-The-Tank is unlike any other. The water tank is built to accommodate a 3/16” thick aluminum sleeve. That sleeve is supported at the front and rear, so no stress is placed upon the tank welds!

MVP Heavy Rescue Pumper
The MVP from FF1 and Ferrara is designed to be both a heavy rescue and a pumper. With up to 550 cubic feet of storage, not including the hose bed and ladder tunnel, the MVP is designed for firefighter safety. The speedlays can be deployed and reloaded while firefighters stand on the ground. The compartments ahead of the rear wheels have floors lowered 3” so it’s easier to lift heavy equipment. Firefighters can lift with their arms and legs instead of their back! And because the most important part of any pumper is the fire pump, a full body midship pump is part of the design, with a rating up to 2250 GPM.
The poly water tank can be as large as 1000 gallons and still maintain the full depth compartments. Ladders can be stored down low through the water tank, below the hose bed, in the hose bed, or with a hydraulic ladder rack. You have options!

Squad Pumper
You want the City Pumper’s compact design but need more storage. FF1’s Squad Pumper is the answer. Featuring full height x full depth compartments on the driver side, this gem has the additional compartment space you require. Not only are the left side compartments full depth, but the tailboard can be recessed into the rear body to make the L3/R3 compartments even wider.
The standard Squad Pumper wheelbase is 188” with a 30’ overall length, which includes the spacious Ferrara extended cab for extra legroom in the crew cab.
